The Colorado Division of Housing posted a blog about two recent reports that both show Denver with “… increasing home prices (that) supports a conclusion that home prices in Colorado and in the Denver area are increasing, and outperforming many metropolitan areas throughout the United States.”
The first report, the Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Home Price Index, showed that Denver’s home prices increased between November 2008 and November 2009. Of the 20 cities included in the index, only Denver, Dallas, San Diego and San Francisco posted annual increases, with Denver 3rd on the list.
A Colorado Association of Realtor study, based on completed sales in December 2009, shows an 18% increase from the previous December.
